FRSC redeploys officers, Agwu now spokesman

The Federal Road Safety Corps has redeployed two of its zonal commanding officers, 13 sector commanders and 84 unit commanders.

A statement by the FRSC’s Deputy Corps Public Education, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, on Sunday, said eight of the 13 sector commanders were newly appointed.

The statement said, “Of the eight sector commanders, six were appointed directly from the Corps’ management.

“Mr. Jonas Agwu, sector commander in charge of Lagos, has been appointed new Corps Public Education Officer at the National Headquarters, Abuja.”

Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, Nseobong Akpabio, who held fort as Corps Public Education Officer, will take over from Agwu as Lagos Sector Commander.

Also, former Corps Transport Standardisation Officer, Kayode Olagunju, a Corps Commander, has been posted to Rivers State as sector commander, while his predecessor, Mary Wakawa, is now the Sector Commander of Ondo State.

The statement further stated, “Dennis Terrang, an Assistant Corps Marshal, who  was Zonal Commanding Officer in Bauchi, is now in charge of Special Duties at the National Headquarters, Abuja.

“Similarly, Chike Nwaka, an Assistant Corps Marshal of the Port Harcourt Zonal Command Headquarters, has been re-appointed as Enugu Zonal Commanding Officer.

“Kayode Fanola who was Corps Secretary, is now the new sector commander, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; while Kenneth Nwaegbe, the former Corps Planning Officer, has been posted to Edo as the Sector Commander.

“Former Corps Medical and Rescue Officer, Olu-Mike Olagunju, is now the Sector Commander for Kaduna State as Shehu Zaki, former Corps Intelligence Officer, becomes Kano State Sector Commander.”

The statement adds that other officers affected by the redeployment, include -Udoma Francis, who was redeployed from Kaduna to Nassarawa; Henry Olatunji, redeployed from Abia to Bauchi; A. Adeboye, redeployed from Ondo to Osun, and Sunday Maku, redeployed from Osun to Plateau.

also E.N. Obot, a former Head, Operations, in Delta State is now acting Sector Commander, Abia State; while E.E. Ekekwe of the headquarters’ Administration is now Acting Sector Commander, Ebonyi State.
